40 weeks

Our October 1st Due Date has come and gone and no baby yet :( Only one day overdue now, but it's still a little disappointing since we have been so anxious and excited for his arrival. The doctor says that things are just progressing very slowly, which is not uncommon for a first mother and baby. Niether of us really know what to do.

The plan for now is that if nothing happens over the weekend we'll go into the hospital Monday night, October 6th, to start the process of getting induced. It will be a long weekend with sleepless nights but there is a light at the end of the tunnel and our baby will be here soon... and then we'll have a whole new kind of sleepless nights. In the meantime I am still trying to remain active. I have been walking as much as possible, trying to help things move along but in the last few days there have been some new pains and discomforts. I've just got this big baby in my belly now and simple tasks have become difficult. I'm just trying to remind myself that its only a matter of days now.

Picture below of me in the nursery... waiting :)

37 weeks

37 weeks along! I am definitely feeling a little different this month. There are some new aches and pains and Bryan would probably agree that there has been a bit of an attitude change as well. I am just finding that I get a little more irritated than usual. But other than that I am doing good. I am still working and staying active with yoga and house stuff, as I am trying to clean everything before the baby comes. Just a few more weeks...

40 weeks vs. 28 weeks

Wow the Baby Bump has really grown in the last 2 months!

36 Week Sonogram

The 36 week sonogram was great! All is going well. At this sonogram we could not see as much of our little guy as before since he is all folded up in there, but in this image you can see his little nose and lips in the middle of the picture... he's giving us a little baby kiss :)

34 weeks

Ahhh... 6 weeks to go!! We have been busy nesting and putting all of the goodies away from the baby shower. We just about have the nursery all set. See pictures below. I feel good other than some general aches and pains and a little heartburn here and there. I seem to be outgrowing alot of my tops that I bought earlier in the pregnancy - my belly peaks out of the bottom :) But really no point shopping for too much more at this stage. We go to the doctor once a week now. Next week we also get another sonogram. Looking forward to seeing our little boy again! I'm sure we'll have some cute sonogram pics to post - so check back in another week or so!

Thanks to Sam and Becca for putting on the baby shower! And thank you to the mom's as well - It was a lot of fun! Picture of me and my mom at the shower, she came in all the way from Iowa. The other picture is of Bryan and I in the sea of gifts from the shower, it took us over a day to put everything away. We got so many cute outfits and onesies and other great things for our nursery, which is on its way to being ready for when the baby arrives. At 32 weeks I feel good, but tired. The baby is moving so much, I can feel his every wiggle and squirm. I am looking forward to laying low and just relaxing as much as possible during these last 8 weeks. I have even begun to take a day or two off of work here and there. Thanks again for all the great gifts and festivies at the baby shower!!

28 weeks

About 7 months along now and still feeling pretty comfortable. Only ocassional aches and pains from the extra belly weight, and usually only when I've been pushing myslef too hard at cleaning or running errands. It's difficult for me to take it easy as the nesting instinct has been setting in. Our little guy is still doing well and moving alot. We have had a few more doctor visits and will be going into see the doctor every 2 weeks from now on out. I have started to pack my hospital bag so that I feel a little more prepared in case of an emergency. We also got our crib delivered today (thanks Gigi and Poppop!) so we'll have our first peice of baby furniture once it gets assembled. That's all to report for now. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying summer!
