It's a Boy!

After 20 weeks of waiting, our first sonogram confirmed that we're having a baby boy! Bryan is extra happy to be having a son. Our little boy looked great in the sonogram, he has all the proper measurements, head, heart, legs, arms, 10 fingers and 10 toes. We are so excited!! Now to start decorating and preparing for the big day when he arrives... around October 1st, plus or minus a week or so.

You can see his little thing.... :)

He gave us a Thumps Up! As if to say... "everything is okay in here"...

19 weeks pregnant

Here's were I am today. About 19 weeks and feeling happy and energized. I am trying to go to prenatal yoga twice a week and my appetite is slowing coming back... including meat. In fact, I even had a cheeseburger for diner tonight! I am going to try to post to this blog whenever I can remember, and keep it updated with baby bump pictures.

Hear the baby's heartbeat!

Bikini Buddha

I'm about 17 weeks here. Becca, Vanessa and I went down to Tampa to visit Monica and her new baby Maxwell, who could not be more adorable! Her family was nice enough to host us at a great beach house on St. Pete Island. In order to lay in the sand on my stomach comfortably I had to dig myself a little hole and then put my beach towel over it.

14 weeks pregnant

14 weeks - I had just begun to crawl out of the hole of my morning sickness and was managing to stay awake long enough to actually go to work every day. Sometime in there I had my 31st Birthday. Eating was still a challenge, sticking to the basics of plain pasta and cereal, yogurt, milk, and ice cream. Fruit also went down fine. Meat is a big no-no! Disgusting to even think about most days...yuck!

8 weeks Pregnant

These are essentially my pre-pregnancy pictures. We took these at about 8-10 weeks. Morning sickness had fully set in and I would not get relief from it until I was about 14-15 weeks along. Morning sickness is the worse thing ever!! I felt horrible. Notice the sexy blue fuzzy socks I have on in the bottom picture, my feet were like ice blocks. I felt like I could never get warm, I had the shivers, deep painful nausea, and just occasional vomiting. Bryan's cologne made me so sick, so did the smell of the new carpet that we had installed downstairs.
My first OB doctor appointment was 3/3/2008. Our doctor is great! So sweet and understanding of my crazy pregnancy questions. I had a whole list of questions for her that first visit. I told her now awful I had been feeling and she reassured me that it was fine. My hormone levels and blood tests all came back fine. So all was well... besides the stupid morning sickness, which also involved lovely things such as constipation, lack of appetite, sleeping 12-16 hours a day, and becoming a complete idiot. There were some days where I found myself in a very dark place, thinking I was dying of a cancerous stomach tumor rather than a baby growing inside me. Lucky, it eventually lifted...

EPT Confirmed!

Here's a picture of me with the digital pregnancy test. If you zoom in, you can actually read that it says 'pregnant' :)

Jen's Pregnant!

I had been feeling a little strange, hungry and nauseous, sometimes both at the same time. I was beginning to suspect something was going on. After work one Thursday evening, 2/7/2008, I decided to take a pregnancy test.

Later that night two pregnancies tests confirmed that I was indeed preggers! I took the first one (two pink lines = pregnant) and could not believe it, so I went back to the store and bought a second test, this time one that had a digital read out that said 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant'.... it definitely said pregnant.
