Fun Video

Here's a fun video from last month of Wyatt talking and laughing. We forgot to post it sooner. He already has noticeable less hair than in the video and it's been just about 3 weeks. Crazy how quickly things change! Enjoy:

Hello from Wyatt

Hey there! A lot of things are going on in my young life. Believe it or not I finally gave in and have been sleeping 5 to 6 hours in a row! That is technically 'through the night'! My parents are pretty pumped about it. It's not every night that I give them this pleasure, only some nights, but I think it's a huge improvment. At first I thought the rails of my crib resembled a jail cell and I cried A LOT but now I'm really starting to get used to being in there. I don't get swaddled anymore. I find my own comfy position, usually with my hands up over my head. I also take a few day time naps in the new swing my parents got me. It's awesome and has allowed my mommy have a little more free time to type this blog for me. So... the big news... and it's not news to those who have seen recent pictures of me... is that I am losing all my baby hair!! I am now both chubby and bald!... I don't know if the ladies are going to like this. I have a new hair growing in already, blond as well, so hopefully I'm not bald for too long. Other news is that I can pretty much sit on my own for a few moments at a time. With a spotter of course. I can also spin around on my back in my crib. Mommy puts me in one way and never knows which direction she'll find me the next time she comes to check. I also have been really into blowing rasberry's lately. It's fun and I like it when the spit bubbles drip down my chin. Well, better run!... it's about time to eat again!

Wyatt at 4 months

Busy busy... we have had no time to blog in recent weeks, and not much time now so making this short. Wyatt is nearly 4 months now. He is super active and is still a little hard to handle. We are in the midst of trying to establish a bedtime routine in hopes of getting more sleep. We have so far made no progress beyound the 4-5 hour stretch. Wyatt has also had his first taste of food! - rice cereal!... yum. He does not really eat it yet. He just moves it around in his mouth and then pushes it back out with his tounge. It's very messy... but fun to watch!

The pic above and this one were taken by our friend Dan Russo - he has mad camera skills!:

Ahh... Sleep...

Wyatt at 3 months

Wyatt is 3 months old now and he has reached some great milestones. He smiles, laughs, baby talks, holds his head up and steady on his own, and has just begun to roll over from his stomach to his back. He is also using his hands a lot, or trying to, there is no real coordination in his efforts yet but he gets his hands into his mouth and anything that he manages to grab goes in his mouth, too. He is even trying to hold his own bottle during feedings. Soon he will be able to feed himself, which will be a big help... it's about time he started pulling his own weight around here. Speaking of weight, Wyatt is still gaining nicely and is in the 50th percentile for height and weight - about 14 lbs. We are still working on the whole sleep thing and are trying to remain optimistic that one day we will sleep for more than 3-4 hours at a stretch. Baby laughs make up for just about any sleepless night. We are trying to catch some laughter on video and will post it when we do.

Our Little Baby New Year...

We could'nt resist taking a few pictures of Wyatt as Baby New Year :) !! We stayed in this year because Jen was sick so we just watched a movie and then watched the ball drop on TV. Hope everyone else was out having fun, having plenty of drinks, and dancing the night away... Happy 2009!!

Wyatt's Christmas Review

Video of Wyatt's first Christmas and message from Wyatt below:

Hey! Wyatt here, being that it was my very first Christmas this year I'd like to let you all know how it went down and what I thought of it. First of all, getting all loaded up in the car with Mommy, Daddy, Me, the 3 dogs, loads of presents, and a bunch of parent and baby stuff took nearly forever. I tried to wait patiently, but then I cried a little thinking it would hurry things along. When we finally got up to Gigi and Pop-pop's and unloaded all of the stuff it was time for Christmas Eve dinner. Mommy fed me a bottle at the table so that I felt included but they didn't let me have any of the good stuff. I understand, it would be hard to chew without any teeth. The next thing I know it's Christmas morning. I loved staring at the Christmas tree and all the pretty lights. I also really enjoyed watching Pop-pop open the present I got him - an elf hat with ears on it! Ha - I already have a great sense of humor! Thankfully so does Pop-pop. There were alot more presents, it was so exhausting to watch that I had to take a nap, of course it was hard to nap with all of the flashes going off - Mommy and Daddy take SOOooo many pictures of me. After all the presents we went to Muzzy's where there were plenty of other people to admire me. There was lots of food, drinks, and merriment. It was a great time and I can't wait until next year when I'll be up and running - by then I may even be able to rip open my own presents (as well as everyone elses) and repeat some of the words I hear my parents say... should be interesting! :)

Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! Wyatt is all smiles this week - He's 11 weeks old now! Just when we think he's being abnormally fussy he turns it around and is a super sweetie (maybe he knows it's the Holidays) ... and just when we think we have the hang of this whole baby thing he also turns that around and throws us a curve ball (like not pooping for 2 days) - so each day is really anyone's guess. The only thing we know for sure is that we truely love this little guy to pieces and this is the best Christmas we have ever had, we are so thankful that he is in our lives (whether screaming or smiling). We are headed up to Gigi and Pop-pop's to indulge in Christmas festivities. This year we will enjoy the traditions of Christmas Eve steak and lobster, Christmas morning present opening, and Christmas Day at Muzzy's with the rest of the family even more than we usually do. We hope everyone has safe and Happy Holidays!
