Wyatt at 8 months

Wyatt is another month older, growing strong, and learning lots of new things. The last month has brought us a lot of smiles and laughs. At 8 months he is up on all fours and has figured out how to work a room with rolling and spinning and little bit of schooching but is still working on the whole crawling thing. Wyatt still loves to laugh at Daddy and play peek a boo. He also really enjoys watching the dogs eat whatever falls off this high chair. He is starting to understand simple requests like 'up' and 'no'... although he thinks 'no' is funny, especially when it comes with head shaking. Sometimes he just shakes his head back at us and laughs. It's cute... for now. The adjustment to day care is still a process, at the moment Wyatt is crying alot when we drop him off, which is difficult, but also endearing that he loves us enough to be upset when we leave. We love him more and more every day. Here are some more pictures from the past month:

Feet in the grass... (those are some white chubby legs!)So happy! "Do I have something on my face?" Thank you Mam-ma for my lovely highchair! It is an antique, and Mommy once sat it in too when she was a baby. Now there is a new King in town and he has taken his seat in the throne... and splattered food all over it: Swinging into Summer:

Playing with Daddy's Hat

We have so many bright, colorful, spinning and flashing toys but sometimes it's the simple things that make for all the smiles and laughter, like playing with Daddy's hat...

Puffs Videos

Here are a couple of videos of Wyatt eating Gerber 'Puffs', they are kind of like Cheerios but they quickly turn to mush once they are in the baby's mouth. At first Wyatt didn't know what to make of them but now he is an old pro and feeding them to himself. Now only if we could get him this excited about eating veggies!... Here's some fun video footage of Wyatt's first encounters with his new favorite food:

Wyatt at 7 months

Well... unfortunately our little Wyatt spent most of his 6th month of life sick. First it was a stomach bug and fever and then we got hit with a nasty cold that turned our baby into a mini snot factory. The sickness threw us all for a loop and both sleeping through the night and going to day care were put on hold for nearly 2 weeks. Things are getting back to normal now, although Wyatt still has a drippy nose (as does Mommy). Wyatt is still just trying to crawl, but has figured out how to roll over numerous times in a row and make it from one end of a room the other in a surprisingly quick time. He also loves to hold his own bottle now.

"Hey, mom... you're cramp'n my style!..."

Wyatt at 6 months

We are a little late on the 6 month blog, very busy getting Wyatt ready to start day care next week and our little guy has also been sick with a bit of a stomach bug. Bryan and I got fully indoctrinated into parenthood this week when we both got pooped on multiple times during a single day. That day also happened to be our Anniversary... it will be a memorable one! :) We are looking forward to starting day care next week but will miss being able to have Wyatt at home all the time and he will really miss his sitter Liddy. Day care will be good for him though, and he will get to meet a lot of other babies. Maybe learn how to crawl and talk... is it really time to grow up so soon? :( I will keep this short and add lots of pictures to make up for the late blogging. As you can see in the picture above Wyatt's first two teeth are now showing up in his smiles. Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to spring as much as we are.

Beep, Beep... who's got the keys to my Jeep?:
Hey there blue eyes:Hey Daddy!
I love Daddy!
The standard Easter pic... Wyatt was wishing there was something more interesting in the Easter Bunny's basket... like a ba-ba of milk.
Happy Easter!

Yumm... Starbucks is for babies too, right?...
Yeah!...time to go out for a walk:
"Could you stop taking pictures and take me on a walk already!?":

The "pre-crawl" video:

This video is of Wyatt doing his little flying penguin routine where he gets on his tummy, puts his arms back, and just kicks his legs - as if he will just slide along if he tries hard enough. Then he has to take a break to catch his breath and rest his head. It's very cute and funny to watch, he get's really into it. It looks like good excerise. Towards the end of the video he also burps... our little charmer :)
